AND RICHMOND COUNTIES

To apply, complete the application and email or mail
the required documentation. Applicants will be contacted
about the next step.
Assists low-income families and individuals improve their
comfort level and lower energy costs through the provisions
of energy conservation measures and heating/air repair and
replacement. Services are free and may include:

Weatherization and Energy Conservation
-
Heating/Air Repair and Replacement Program
-
Duct Sealing, Caulking and Air Sealing
-
Weather-stripping and Insulation
-
Vapor Barrier
-
CFL's or LED's
-
Low-flow Shower Heads
-
Health and Safety (bath fans)
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants must be at least 18 years old, reside in one of the counties that the agency serves (Chatham, Orange, Anson, and Richmond), have a household income for the prior 12 months that is at or below 200% of the federal poverty guidelines (see below) for the number in the house.
Documentation required includes (but is not limited to):

Completed WAP application

Printout of previous two years electric and heating bills

Tax card, title, or deed

Proof of income for 12-month eligibility look back period for all household members

Completed landlord agreement if renting

Additional guidelines may be provided at time of application
